Build
A site built around how customers actually choose you: what they need to see and trust before they call. It’s designed for your business from scratch, not a template with your logo on it.
What’s included →The problem, plainly
The guy who built our site just… stopped answering.
Turns out the domain was registered to our old provider — not to us.
We’ve been meaning to fix the hours on there for two years.
Groundcover Works exists to end these stories. One person builds your site, keeps it current, and makes sure your name is on everything that matters.

What’s included →Hosting, monitoring, backups, and updates, all handled for you. Small content changes too, plus a short monthly note in plain English about what got done.

On the bench right now
Lara Landscaping’s new site is staged and launching soon. It’s a project that started with getting their domain back from a provider who’d gone quiet. And Steeno Design Studio’s thirty years of architecture are finally getting a site to match.
See the workHow it works
We talk through the business, customers, current site, content, and constraints.
I turn that into a clear scope, page structure, responsibilities, and milestones.
We shape the content and design, then test the finished site across real devices and needs.
After launch, I keep watch, handle routine changes, and show you what got done.
Who you’ll work with
I’m Kyle Grover. I design the site, write the code, watch the monitoring, and answer the email.
No account manager, no ticket queue, no invented team. I do the work myself and automate the tedious parts like monitoring and backups. I’m based in Portland and work across the West Coast.
Why I started Groundcover Works →Common questions
Most builds start around $2,000. Every project gets a written proposal with the full price before any work begins, so there are no surprise invoices later.
You own the parts that are your business: your domain, your accounts, your original content, photos, and analytics data. The studio keeps its own framework and platform. If we ever part ways after the agreed fees are paid, you leave with a portable copy of your site and the documentation to take it elsewhere.
Care takes over: hosting, monitoring, backups, maintenance, small content updates done for you, direct support, and a monthly report that a real person actually read.
Send me the change, whether it’s new hours, new photos, or a price update, and I handle it as part of Care. There’s no editor to learn and nothing you can break by accident at 11pm.
